I am a full-time, 20 years experienced, Real Estate REALTOR based in Bedford, New Hampshire. Using an NH native with vast LOCAL and overall New Hampshire knowledge is to your benefit. My job as a buyer agent will be to help ensure you stay out of trouble.  I share with you any listings of interest perhaps just outside your comfort zone of commuting, I research a fair offering price through the MLS, research the town file for discrepancies or obvious permit violations, offer you alternative properties to consider, and ensure you have a smooth transaction with a stellar inspector and title company and if needed, give you alternate lenders to consider and speak with to get the best rate and tailor the loan product to your needs. Some properties need renovations in order to be suitable. Renovations can be financed, the work completed and then the amount borrowed for the renovations gets rolled into a standard 30-year mortgage, FHA or CONVENTIONAL. This can even be done on foreclosure sales! Been there done that. I can ALSO give opinions on obvious house defects, provide listing history for previous attempts to sell the property of interest, and very importantly I will make sure all the required paperwork is solid and complete with added protections for you built into any offer you may decide to make. General: My education is one thing that I value dearly- I majored in Mathematics at Bates College and then obtained a Master’s in Computer Science at Boston Univarsity, working as an application a programmer and programming systems analyst at Sander’s Associates (now BAE), Peerless insurance Company, EnergyNorth Inc (former Manchester, Nashua and Concord NH natural gas and propane companies), LL. Bean (as a contactor), CMP (Central Maine Power, Maine as a contractor), Liberty mutual (as a contractor) and at Keane Inc. all prior to becoming a Realtor in 2002. I have been the recipient of an International Sterling Society Award and a Director’s Award for superior sales achievement. I am often in the top 50 Bean Group agents in terms of yearly sales volume. The majority of my buying clients come from out of state.  I will get you the most the market can bear for your home on the selling side. First-time buyers are also welcome as well as retirees looking to downsize in NH. 2nd homes are becoming quite common in NH these days.

Finally, I believe strongly in outreach to help one’s neighbors here and across the globe and have served on the Development Committee of Sustainable Harvest International (www.sustainableharvest.org), a non-profit organization working across several Central American Countries to stop slash and burn farming techniques, replant deforested mountainsides and help local farmers develop sustainable organic farming techniques while creating markets for their produce. Setup meeting between St. Paul school and Florence Reed, founder of Sustainable Harvest International, to address the St. Paul’s School’s advanced study program (ASP) to align SHI’s “smaller world” eco-tourism program with St. Paul’s interests; meeting resulted in bi-annual trips with St. Paul students to Central American farming communities for volunteer work through SHI. Traveled to Honduras in Jan 2012 with the SHI board on special invite for a first-hand look at SHI’s programs and site visit. Former member of the SHI Communications Task Force.
